Quality Sense Conf 2026: Global Voices Shaping the Future of Quality

Quality Intelligence, applied AI, and human judgment at the center of the agenda¶

The conference, which connects the Latin American software quality community with international experts, will take place on October 13 in Montevideo. It will bring together a diverse group of speakers from different countries to address the challenges facing software quality, with a focus on AI.

The fifth edition of Quality Sense Conf will take place at the Radisson Montevideo Victoria Plaza, with free general admission. The event will bring together experts from Latin America, the United States, Europe, and Asia to share their experiences in applied artificial intelligence, quality engineering, and software delivery.

The software industry is going through an unprecedented period. AI is accelerating development at a relentless pace while transforming how teams work, and quality is taking on an increasingly strategic role in determining success.

In this context, organizations need to build new capabilities, manage risk, and maintain control over complex systems. Otherwise, teams will lack a clear understanding of what they are deploying to production and the impact it has on the business and its users.

To achieve this, as Sofía Palamarchuk, Co-CEO of Abstracta, explained in depth at SeleniumConf 2026, teams need to develop Quality Intelligence. Sofía defines this concept as the ability to combine technical context, business rules, and expert knowledge to make better release decisions, rather than relying solely on individual AI tools.

A Regional Community Connected to the World¶

Quality Sense Conf aims to expand and strengthen the software quality community in Latin America.

The conference brings together professionals who develop, test, design, research, and lead technology initiatives. It also welcomes people at different stages of their careers, from those just starting out to internationally recognized experts.

Diversity is built into the event’s design. The speaker selection process seeks to include different countries, disciplines, experiences, genders, and approaches to software quality.

This exchange is especially relevant as artificial intelligence adoption grows. Technological change is also transforming processes, knowledge, responsibilities, and decision-making criteria. The conference creates a space to examine these dimensions together and develop responses grounded in the community’s experience.

International Knowledge with Local Impact¶

Four Spaces to Learn, Experiment, and Connect¶

Quality Sense Conf 2026 will feature different formats designed to facilitate knowledge sharing and meet the needs of a diverse audience.

Main Track¶

The Main Track will feature the day’s keynotes and main talks.

This space will present trends, case studies, and lessons learned in artificial intelligence, quality engineering, testing, software development, and organizational transformation.

The sessions will help attendees understand how the industry is evolving and which practices teams across different regions are putting into action.

Workshops¶

The workshop track will offer longer, more interactive sessions.

Workshop participants will have the opportunity to work on specific tools, approaches, and challenges alongside community experts. The format will allow them to deepen their knowledge, exchange experiences, and experiment with practices they can apply in their day-to-day work.

Demo Corner¶

The fifth edition will introduce a Demo Corner, a space dedicated to showcasing solutions, tools, and real-world use cases in action.

Sponsors, companies, and community members will be able to present specific implementations and speak directly with the people who develop or use them.

The Demo Corner will offer a closer look at how different technologies are integrated into software development, quality, and delivery workflows.

Management Track¶

Quality Sense Conf will also add an exclusive track for leadership roles, with paid or invitation-only admission. These tickets will also provide access to an exclusive networking event held on the evening of October 12 at Itaú Cubo.

This space will be designed for people who make decisions about technology, quality, artificial intelligence, and organizational transformation.

It will address more strategic topics related to governance, impact, scalability, and organizational adoption.

The Management Track will connect strategic decisions with the technical and organizational challenges that emerge during AI adoption.

Why Quality Sense Conf Is Held in Uruguay¶

Uruguay has a well-established technology ecosystem, a software industry focused on international markets, and a professional community connected to the region and the world.

The country’s size has also fostered a culture of collaboration among companies and communities.

Federico Toledo explains that the size of the Uruguayan market led many technology companies to look beyond the country’s borders from day one:

“When we expand globally, the market is enormous, and we can go much further if we collaborate. Although we may compete locally for certain clients or contracts, we rarely pursue the same opportunities abroad. This collaborative vision has been present throughout every edition of the conference.”

The country has also strengthened its development in artificial intelligence.

According to the 2025 ILIA Index by ECLAC and CENIA, Uruguay is one of the region’s three AI “pioneers,” alongside Chile and Brazil, and ranks first in Latin America for AI technology infrastructure (ECLAC).

Uruguay also has a National Artificial Intelligence Strategy for 2024-2030, developed with input from more than 300 people and over 90 public, private, and civil society organizations, with technical support from CAF and UNESCO (AGESIC).

In 2023, Microsoft established its first AI Co-Innovation Lab in Latin America at the LATU Technology Park, focused on the development and application of artificial intelligence-based solutions.

Quality Sense Conf contributes to this broader landscape through community, experience, and quality engineering.

The conference connects international knowledge with local capabilities, builds relationships among different stakeholders across the ecosystem, and strengthens Uruguay’s position in a global technology conversation.

From the Quality Sense Podcast to an International Conference¶

Quality Sense Conf grew out of the Quality Sense Podcast, created by Federico Toledo to hold conversations with international experts about testing, software development, and quality engineering.

Those conversations led to an in-person conference with its own identity and a regional reach.

Since its first edition, the event has brought together professionals, companies, and communities interested in understanding how the industry is evolving and how to apply that knowledge to projects and organizations.

Across its editions, Quality Sense Conf has welcomed more than 900 attendees, featured 165 speakers, and brought together participants from 22 countries.

The 2025 edition featured more than 40 speakers across four tracks and shared experiences related to software quality, artificial intelligence, automation, performance, and team transformation.

The fifth edition will continue that journey with new formats, an international agenda, and more opportunities to work on the practical application of AI in software delivery.
