Mosca Hnos. (Mosca Brothers) is an Uruguayan retail store founded in 1888 in Uruguay, under the name of "The People's Library".
In the period of the greatest cultural flourishing of the country, which gave rise to a generation of artists and intellectuals who transcended borders, Mosca Brothers became a cultural reference to the society at the time with many eminent personalities like José Enrique Rodó and Juan Zorrilla de San Martín as frequent customers.
As a result of the deep friendship that was forged with Zorrilla de San Martín, in 1928 Mosca created its "Tabaré" brand of notebooks in his tribute.
This brand, inextricably linked to many generations of schoolchildren, is now celebrating 92 years of uninterrupted production.
Today, Mosca Brothers has 23 stores across the country and an online store in which it sells its flagship products as well as toys, electronics, books, baby products, and more.
Iconic Uruguayan brand
130+ years in business
Mosca was undergoing an ambitious change; the restructuring of its company operations systems such as logistics management, electronic invoicing and the invoicing system in 15 stores/branches throughout Uruguay.
Mosca Hnos. needed proper support for working with accounting, financial and logistical regulations, taking them into consideration while ensuring that their new systems were highly operative.
Mosca Hnos. hired an Abstracta team to help verify the quality of the deliverables that it received from many different developers and suppliers.
The Abstracta team’s main objective was to work closely with the IT department to give specific support according to normative and accounting principles and to consider the Tax Entity regulations while achieving the high quality needed for the Electronic Invoicing System.
We implemented a functional testing process by analyzing user needs, designing test cases and executing tests and obtained results pertaining to the quality of the deliverables.
